Who We Are

We are a collective of passionate college and career success coaches who help students to develop their own individual life roadmaps.

Our Purpose Defines Us

We understand that our students come from many different home environments and life situations so we look to support their development inside and outside of the classroom. On their unique journey towards self-awareness we are the tour guides assigned to them during this season to assist and develop them along the way.

Our Mission

3 Seeds Mentoring Group seeks to transform the lives of disadvantaged youth through innovative, life changing experiences. Our goal is to expose them to as many different hands on experiences as possible in hopes of them connecting with a path that directly speaks to their natural ability and destiny.

Our Vision

3 Seeds aspires to create a better future for disadvantaged youth by developing their Character, inspiring their Creativity, and exposing them to a variety of different Career paths.

Give Back, Move Forward

In an effort to connect our students to meaningful experiences, the majority of our community service projects come from personal relationship that address real needs in the community. If we volunteer at a school usually there is a family member or neighbor attached to that location that makes the event significant.

Where it all started..

Program History

With 8 years deeply rooted in this community, our organization stands as a testament to the benefits of a unique and mutually beneficial partnership with not only Hillcrest High School, but also with Prairie Hills Junior High and Southwood. We have helped hundreds of students successfully enroll in college and continue to encourage and inspire the next generation to accomplish their educational goals beyond their high school diploma.

A Brief History of TRiO Programs

Our Impact

The history of TRIO is progressive. It began with Upward Bound, which emerged out of the Economic Opportunity Act of 1964 in response to the administration’s War on Poverty. In 1965, Talent Search, the second outreach program, was created as part of the Higher Education Act. In 1968, Student Support Services, which was originally known as Special Services for Disadvantaged Students, was authorized by the Higher Education Amendments and became the third in a series of educational opportunity programs. By the late 1960’s, the term “TRIO” was coined to describe these federal programs.
